This Diwali don't light a pataka...!!! Be one...
Hey guys... Wassup!!!
Are you all as excited as I am for this festive season? Diwali is my absolute favorite festival—it's a time filled with lights, joy, and, of course, new dresses. However, it also brings along the dilemma of what to wear.
I understand how monotonous it can be to repeat the same outfit every time, and purchasing a new dress for every festival isn't always feasible. So, why not try something creative this time and save some money in the process?
Here's an idea: start by collecting your mom's old saree or even your own, if you have any. I'll share with you how to transform those saree into classy designer dresses.
Yes, it's entirely possible and quite creative too.
Let me show you how I created some beautiful Anarkali dresses using simple saree.
Behold the stunning Anarkali dress I have created using my mom's saree. Take a look! I opted for a simple and elegant design, and to add a touch of opulence, I paired it with a luxurious silk golden dupatta.
The combination gives the dress a rich and grand appearance, and now I'm all set to shine at the festivities!!!
Finally, accessorized with some nice golden earrings or jhumkas to finish the look.
Fashion transcends labels and brands. It's not about what you wear, but rather how you express yourself from within...
If you're someone who prefers not to handle a dupatta, then the next option is tailor-made for you.
Here's another creation using one of my mom's sarees, with a little twist. It's actually quite simple—I stitched the saree into an Anarkali dress, and I transformed the blouse of the saree into an open-front jacket. This stylish modification adds a trendy and classy touch to the dress.
This Anarkali can be worn with or without the jacket, giving me the flexibility to style it according to my preference. With this versatile outfit, I am all set to dazzle at the festive celebrations.
No need to overthink the accessories—I simply paired it with multicoloured earrings, and I'm all set to go.
For the third look, I incorporated a stunning Jaipuri Bandhej Saree.
Take a glance at the exquisite ensemble...
I crafted this look by stitching a beautiful Anarkali dress using a Jaipuri saree. To maintain a minimalist aesthetic, I adorned the front side with simple thread tassels. And voila! The look is complete and ready to be showcased.
And lastly, I paired it with a pair of golden Jhumka earrings, adding the perfect finishing touch to my ensemble.
Now, I am all set to go and rock the festivities!!!
Out of all the looks, this last one holds a special place in my heart and has become my absolute favorite.
As per my usual process, I stitched the saree into an Anarkali dress. However, this time, I utilized the saree's blouse at the front to create a choli Anarkali look. To add a touch of elegance, I incorporated a pair of latkans on the side front. Completing the ensemble, a pair of heavy earrings perfectly complement this dress.
I strongly encourage you to try something creative like these outfit transformations and don't forget to share your experiences with us in the comment section below.
In the meantime, enjoy the festivities and have a joyful Diwali celebration!!!
